Everyday Parker comes further and further along.

Toilet training is going great. He goes pee by himself. As for poop he knows he has to go to the toilet and tries to flip poop in toilet. Isn't always a 100% but he has the idea. He even likes to wipe his own butt with baby wipes. Then he knows he needs a new pair of underwear so he gets them out of his bag, flushes the toilet and even puts the seat down. Big step from last year where he would freeze up and hating the toilet seat.

Eating is still a little rough. He is feeding himself only Gerber cereal and applesauce. Occasionally he puts crunches in there for texture(baby melts). School has got him to taste a grape, goldfish and pretzels but he only does that for them not Dave and I. Chocolate milk is his new obsession. That might be mommy's fault for when she was pregnant that's what she craved. He can pour his own cup too! He has accepted using any cup now. He also has accepted eating out of any bowl. He still has to use rubber spoon though.

Communication is getting better. He uses his IPAD to communicate what he needs. He also is saying more now. He still repeats things you say. If you want him to ask for what he needs you have to say it 1st. He does ask for milk and utube without prompting.

My worse nightmare

Today I was downstairs while Parker was upstairs playing. Up to this point he didn't bother with the windows in our house but lately he has been opening our glass window in the bedroom and pushing his face against the screen. We told him don't do that ,that he could could fall through the screen. Well I came upstairs to check on him and noticed that my curtains were open and the window was up and the screen was ripped out. My heart was beating, tears started to roll down my face. All I could think is he fell through the window 2 stories down on the driveway.  I found him safely on my bed but did notice my stuff out on the driveway. He was having a field day throwing mommy's stuff through the window. I was so relieved that he was safe. I started to cry again. The fear I had of losing my son. It would have killed me.He is all I live for! So moral of the story is always check up on your kids even if you think they are ok. Gut feelings are usually the right feeling, don't ignore them.
Time to goto the hardware store and baby proof the house again....

Big Day for Everyone!

Today was a big day for Parker...not only did he pee on the big boy toilet like a little man, we also welcomed Natalie Rose Graham in to this crazy world. That would be his first girl cousin. Mommy's brother Earle and sister in law Lynn's baby. She was 7 lbs.12 oz 20 in long at 11:47 am. What a great way to start spring!
